We are searching for a Feature Leader to join our Aftermarket Technology team in Greensboro, NC. You will translate customer feature targets to transport solution requirements and be accountable for knowing where our Products stand in comparison to our competition.
This position is part of Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT) Complete Vehicle (CV) Aftermarket Technology (AMT) department.
In this role you will lead the activities to develop and strengthen the diagnostic area within the maintainability feature. You will work in projects managing Maintainability & Diagnostic feature requirements, verification and validation actions during the development process. The role includes contributing to concept selection, reporting the feature status during feature reviews and updating the verification and validation plan. You will deliver status reports to the gate openings, including approvals or proposals and requests for modifications in the projects.
As a Feature Leader you will support the Global Feature leader in defining the future vision on features inside the Feature Coordination Teams, documented in Feature Development Plans. You will also improve knowledge on the feature scope by driving development actions, for example virtual and physical test methods. You will also propose and/or carry out Technology Development actions related to the feature.
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills
- Minimum BS degree within Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, and/or Computer Science; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum 5-8 years engineering experience (mechanical or electrical)
- Minimum 3 years working in areas related to diagnostic and repairs
- Extensive customer and product knowledge
- Experience working in areas related to aftermarket, service and/or spare parts
