ECU Owner – Autonomous components
There is now an opportunity for you to join Volvo Group Truck Technology in the development of our products. Electrical and Electronics Engineering has an increased need of skilled electrical hardware engineers within the group for Electrical Control Unit Development located in Gothenburg.
The team is responsible for the complete chain from specification and development to maintenance of ECU's, all done in close cooperation with our suppliers throughout the world.
We do this with the high Volvo quality standards in mind to secure a profitable solution for our complete range of brands within the Volvo Group.

As ECU Component Owner you will develop and be delivery- and lifecycle responsible for the electronics and mechanics for three of our new Electrical Control Units within the area of autonomous trucks. The mission is to secure that the delivered ECU meet defined requirements and is physically installed properly in the target environment. The development will be made using the functional safety standard ISO-26262.
You will in this role work together and lead a team with hardware component owners in a cross functional team, often with global representation. In addition you will also cooperate with external suppliers to develop the electronics and ECU housing.

- University degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar
- At least 3-5 years of experience within hardware development of embedded systems
- Fluent in English, written and spoken
- A successful experience in electrical HW development will be an important merit
- Experience from Advanced Product Quality Planning is a merit
- ISO 26262 knowledge is a merit
