Dealer Business Area & OEM Business Development Manager

We are looking for a Dealer Business Area & OEM Business Development Manager to support the Industrial and Marine segments of the business with a strong focus on the Industrial side.

The role
To manage and develop key industrial and marine commercial OEM accounts within the aftermarket business for the UK and IRE, alongside managing a portfolio of Penta Dealers in a designated geographic area.
Responsibilities

  • Monitor, develop and implement Volvo Penta business plan, in order to secure sales of parts, accessories and engines through the dealer network and key OEM accounts

  • Work closely with the engine sales and technical support teams to ensure engine sales and aftermarket capability across marine and industrial segments

  • Design and implement sales, marketing and training initiatives towards OEMs and dealers in order to improve sales competence and customer satisfaction

  • Co-ordinate with European Dealer Business Management team to support global customers including OEM’s, fleet owners and operators

  • Develop OEM and Fleet Owner Aftermarket / Service agreements

  • Support marketing activities such as industrial exhibitions, trade shows, boat shows, social media, branding and corporate identity, open days, conferences

About you

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Business acumen – interpret and understand KPIs and provide management information

  • Understanding of customer/market demand and product

  • Proven experience of dealer / account management

  • Experience with direct customers and dealer network (B2C, B2B)

  • Ability to understand and communicate technical information

  • Experience in new technology such as hybrid and electric solutions is preferred

  • Available for regular business trips in UK and Europe
