The technical team at Volvo Penta provide support to our customers, dealers and OEM’s on the complete Volvo Penta Engine range.
You will provide technical information and advice to customers, assist Sales with application engineering and installation approval and organise product trials and commissioning of OEM products as a Volvo Penta representative. This could include performance testing, acceptance trials, and certification of installations.
You will provide reports and documentation as required and examine customer enquiries for components advising specification and design of electrical and mechanical circuitry as necessary.
You will also provide training to customer engineering teams and represent the team at trade shows and conferences as and when required.
You will be based at our Warwick head office however will need to travel in the UK to meet customers and occasionally to head office in Sweden.

Skills and attributes required:
Educated to degree level in Engineering related degree
General understanding of industrial applications such as rock crushers, water pumps, generators, HGV's and agricultural machinery
Able to communicate at all levels
Focussed on delivering for the customer and becoming a key part of the customers team when needed
Able to logically solve problems and use your own initiative
Knowledge of modern diesel engines and control systems is preferable
Engineering Competence Level 7 (PgDip) Cranfield University
Successful completion of both the on job elements and off job training, will result in the award of Level 7 in Engineering Competence. This qualification can be used as a part credit towards a Masters and achieving Chartered Engineer Status. You will attend training in week long periods across 7 modules then deliver a group project for your final module. The period of study is around 24 months depending on the individual. Training can take place online or at Cranfield University.

37.5 hours per week (inclusive of study time) standard hours 8:30-16:30 however we can be flexible with start and finish times
