Project Quality Manager Operations

Purpose
The mission of the Project Quality Manager is to assure that the quality processes (including tools and methods) in product & process projects are performed according to the existing procedures, assuring that the project objectives and customer satisfaction are reached. The Project Quality Manager Operations ensures that the quality activities are started at the right time in the project timeline and driven until a successful launch, taking corrective actions when necessary.
Scope
The Project Quality Manager Operations operates mainly within the project and makes sure that quality deliveries are performed as planned, both when it comes to the project deliveries in terms of the project assurance plan and the agreed quality assurance activities in terms of the quality assurance plan and quality tool plan. The Project Quality Manager Operations has the mandate to take decisions concerning project quality activities in the project and how these should be planned, driven and follow-up.
Project Quality
  • Securing the creation, communication, update and follow-up of the Project Assurance Plan
  • Define and follow-up activities concerning project risks and issues (product risks to be coordinated with PMQ)
  • Identify hard points and elevate to GTO PM / CPM and line organization
  • Ensures that the appropriate project management processes are used
  • Define with the Project Management Team the project targets and KPI, PI
  • Support the project management in driving the project with the right quality
  • Creating risk analysis on project level
  • Present the project target status at each gate that is audited (both to gate auditor and main project PAM)
  • Initiate and update the white book
Product & Process Quality
  • Develop and follow-up the quality assurance plan and quality tool plan including manufacturing validation plan (PFMEA, PHR, DFA)
  • Identify hard points and elevate to GTO PM / CPM and line organization
  • Proactively support project teams and give training in quality tools and methods
  • Be the GTO representative in PROTUS management fora
  • Support with target setting for project/product (process) audit and fault frequency
  • Ensure that lessons learned (warranty, QJ, recall, internal campaigns, etc.) is added to the risk analysis and actions are robust
  • Report product (process) quality status at each gate and regularly in the Project Management Team
  • Track and drive the enhanced control plan activities (Shokiryudo, MCQP, SLI, etc.)
  • Follow product (process) quality KPI
  • Interface with GTT PMQ, internal PMQ:s coordination within GTO and coordination with the PMQ:s in the plants.
Educational Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering or Project Management Professional recognized by PMI
  • 3-5 years of experience in Quality Management in Automotive Industry
  • Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, ASQ or equivalent
