Kerstin Renard, EVP Corporate HR, signed the agreement with the EM (Ecole de Management) Lyon Business School and the INSA (Institut National des Sciences Appliquées) Engineering University Lyon on behalf of the Volvo Group in Lyon on March 27.
“Through the Preferred Talent Partnerships, we aim at establishing long-term strategic and cooperative relations with the selected universities in order to improve our capacity to recruit the best talents”, says Kerstin Renard. “Through-out 2012 we will develop our partnerships with the selected universities through a number of activities, such as internships, ambassador networks and a continued dialogue with the students.”
The talent partnerships are part of the Volvo Group Academic Partner Program (APP), an initiative that aims at optimizing the way the Volvo Group attracts top talent as well as how we participate in publicly funded research & innovation programs.
In addition to EM Lyon and INSA Lyon, talent partnerships have been signed with the Tsinghua and Tongji Universities in China. Corresponding agreements with Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg Sweden, as well as North Carolina State University and Penn State University in the USA will be signed later this year.
